Ramsbury FC U16s created history by being the only youth team to win both the League and Cup double in a single season.
The U16s did it by beating a very capable and competitive Corsham AFC U16s side on penalties after both teams were 4-4 after 90 minutes.
Ramsbury FC U16s held their nerve and scored all pens and saw their keeper make an absolute world class save to put the pressure all on Corsham.
The final pen was scored and Ramsbury FC U16s recorded a hugely memorable League and Cup double in a highly competitive league alongside teams such as Warminster, Bath Arsenal, Trowbridge and Melksham.
The season had been memorable already as the blue and whites had already won the league with 3 matches to go with the U16s to yet drop a point; and to underscore their commitment they played friendly matches against Swindon Supermarine and other top clubs to keep them on point!
Coaches Rob James and James Collister provided additional training and recruited well to bolster the team and it has certainly paid off in additional to using Veo to video their games.
However, it is testament to the players who have excelled throughout the years to reach this pinnacle and earn Cub legendary status as a double league and cup winning side and one that have yet to lose a league game – a new generation of invincibles!
