Ramsbury FC U9 Whites had a fantastic win at the Haydon Vale FC Invitation Tournament and have added another trophy to the Ramsbury FC trophy cabinet!

Tournament Team: Cassian Cresswell, Eli Taylor, Jack Wheeler, Kian, Maye, Fraser Selby, Clarke Willment, Heston Cresswell (U8s) and Henry Foley (U8s).

There were some high quality teams including Ashton Keynes, Robins and Haydon Vale and all games were very close and played to a very high level. The team played some fantastic football and a special mention must go to Clarke Willment for his superb goal keeping!

Ramsbury defeated Robins 4-3 on penalties after drawing 1-1 in normal time with a superb free kick by Kian Maye. It was a mammoth achievement as the team played a number of tough 20 minute matches including the final. The win is testament to the spirit and unity of the team and the fantastic development by Steve Taylor and the assistant coaches Pete Wheeler, Sean Maye and Fi Cresswell.

A special well done must go to Henry Foley and Heston Cresswell from the U8s (Ramsbury FC Team of the Year) who played a year up and were integral to the win! Well done boys and I know you will have made your coaches, James Underwood, Ian Cresswell and Matt Thomas equally proud.

A brilliant achievement by Ramsbury FC U9 Whites who have earned a deserved rest as they move onto being the U10 Whites this September.

Finally, a huge thanks must go to Haydon Vale FC for making the tournament so positive and enjoyable and for the invite and trophy.
