Ramsbury FC concluded the 2022-2023 Season with their Festival of Football & Awards on Saturday 20 May in the most glorious sunshine.

The Club provided a BBQ and a number of marked out pitches to play small sided games for all teams.

Coaches refereed the matches and presented awards pitch side and the Club awards were presented at the start of the FOF & Awards by the Club Sec. First, was the presentations to the U6 Development Squad Class R team, who are the youngest of our players and make up 16 of our 40 U6 players, followed by the three Club awards:

Carrington Shield (Team of the Year): This year went to Ramsbury FC U8s for their superb transition, enthusiasm and improvement.

Dave Rushen Shield (Coach of the Year): This year went to both U13s Coaches for their unremitting enthusiasm, dedication to fostering teamwork and to player improvement: Rich Gillard and Adam Blanchard.

Oli Kimber Award (Player or Club Official of the Year): This year went to Fi Cresswell for her commitment, dedication and contribution to Ramsbury FC that is n example to us all.

It was a fantastic day and the photos say it all. A great season and a brilliant way to celebrate the 135 years of Ramsbury FC and congratulate all involved with the Club.

Although we sadly lose our U12s team as they will fold, and we wish them all the best, we will still have 12 youth teams playing in the North Wilts Youth League next season and an U6s Development squad and mens team. The future looks bright – the future is blue and white!

Finally, we are so lucky to have such a great facilities, great coaches and players and support from our committee and club sponsor; and all deserve a break until we start again in September.

All the best
