DERBY WIN for RAMSBURY FC U17s v MYFC U18s
Hi All

A wet, windy and wild match against Marlborough.
Saw us leave with 2-1 win.
A great team performance where it was impressive that we kept our shape, our heads and our footing on a very slippery pitch
Marlborough put early pressure on us with a string of corners , but we held firm with the wind whipping the ball towards our goal, it was a quick break up the pitch moving the ball across from right to left, Reece cutting in and slotting past the keeper.
1-0 Ramsbury.
Marlborough's goal came from giving too much time in the centre of the pitch to pick out a through ball that discected our center backs and their striker slotting past Tom, 1-1.
Half time.
Second half with the slope to our advantage, we had the better chances and more possession in their half , but had to be weary of the threat on the break.
Our second goal came from Henry striking a low drive across the keeper into the bottom corner, this was controversial due to the ball hitting the ref in the build up, but as I say to the lads play to the whistle 2-1 Ramsbury.
The ref made decisions that both sides did not agree with, a blatant off the ball kick out on one of our players should have been red but nothing was given.
We went close to adding a 3rd with George hitting the post.
With 90 mins on the clock Marlborough mounted a final effort going close but Tom pulled off a great 1on 1 save tipping the shot around the base of the post.

Moment of the match Tom's last minute save.
Man of the match Henry for great defensive display and great winning goal

Josh with a strong display at the back along with Jai, Harry, Ben W and Henry.
Midfield, battled and kept going attack and defense, Kieran, Byron, George, Reece, Euan, Noah and Fred.
Up top Noah and Ollie and Fred kept the opposition on their toes taking up good positions and finding space.

So thanks that all braved the conditions and supported the lads today.

Great effort all and 100% record against our local rival's 💪
